Call for Nominations for the Insurance Company of the Year Award
A new initiative at the 6th Annual Middle East Insurance Forum

The 6th Annual Middle East Insurance Forum (MEIF 2010) is announcing the call for nominations for the inaugural Insurance Company of the Year Award. This award, which will be presented under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain, will recognise an institution that has demonstrated outstanding achievements and institutional excellence in major performance areas.

Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Baker, Executive Director - Financial Institutions Supervision at the Central Bank of Bahrain, highlighted some of the key objectives of the new award: "The Middle East insurance industry continues to offer huge potential for growth and the Insurance Company of the Year Award is a new initiative aimed at encouraging further excellence and innovation in the industry. The Central Bank of Bahrain urges voters to be fair and invites you to nominate organisations that have demonstrated outstanding achievements and institutional excellence in major performance areas."





Key criteria include the development of innovative products and services that have substantially advanced the regional insurance industry; and/or outstanding financial performance resulting from excellence in its operations. Nominations may be filed electronically at http://www.megaevents.net/insurance/Nomination2.php.

The deadline for nominations is the 28th of January 2010, after which the nomination process will close. It is important to recognize that Votes will not be accepted from employees of the same organization.

The winning institution will be recognised at the high-profile gala dinner ceremony of the 6th Annual Middle East Insurance Forum (MEIF 2010), to be held at the Gulf Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain on the evening of 7th February 2010. The gala dinner will be hosted by the Bahrain Insurance Association.
